BURNIN' Hot Yoga
Coming in June on Tuesday Nights
with
Lindsey (Yogi)
Berry

In addition to Tuesdays @
9:00-10:15pm,
join Lindsey on Saturday mornings @10:30am.
It's time to
BURN
some calories!
Burnin’
Hot Yoga utilizes a heated room
for the
practice of Hatha yoga. The difference between traditional Hatha styles
and Hot Yoga is temperature of the studio, which is set between 90° to
100°F. Our 75 minute routine moves fresh, oxygenated blood to each organ
and muscle fiber and therefore restores healthy conditions. Heat relaxes
muscles, significantly increases flexibility and prevents injury, produces
a deep detox sweat and promotes caloric burn. Class techniques and asanas
(postures) of Hot Yoga vary with the particular teacher’s personal style.
Its a GREAT workout.

FINDING THE POEM IN OHM
A Yoga/ Expressive Writing Workshop for Personal
Transformation

with
Leslie Stampler, MSW, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (Ca. reg. #22713)
Sunday, September 12, 2010
1:00pm-4:00pm
A yoga practice provides us with
the opportunity to explore more than just our physical presence in the
world. It can allow us to delve into our beliefs, our truths and our
desires. A writing practice also presents us with these opportunities and
the combination of yoga and writing is a powerful force that can start you
on the path of personal transformation and/or deepen your existing yoga or
writing practice. In this workshop the interplay between movement and
words will flow easily.
Guided yoga postures and simple
guided writing exercises will lead the participants to a place of balance,
knowledge, awareness and joy. No yoga or writing experience needed!

An Evening of Kirtan
with Mike Cohen
Saturday, September 18, 2010,
8:00pm
Download Flier
WHAT IS KIRTAN?
Kirtan is a group participatory experience of sacred call and response
chanting that will calm your mind, open your heart and build deep
connection to yourself,
others and the Divine.
Kirtan is a practice that blends East and West. Eastern spirituality is
represented by Sanskrit mantras that will calm your mind, open your heart
and allow you to connect with Divine energy. Western musical sensibilities
are represented by musical influences from uniquely American/Western
musical influences
such as jazz, funk, soul, rhythm and blues, and rock.
As a form of collective spirituality, in Kirtan we bring our voices and
intentions together
to cultivate Shakti (Divine energy), allowing each participant to bring
more love,
freedom and creativity into their life. Kirtan is fun and easy,
and no prior experience is necessary.
Kirtan with Mike Cohen and Friends is an invitation to sing, clap,
meditate and dance together to create deep connection to the secret places
of your soul.
