Alex Film Society
The Alex Film Society presents, at Glendale's Alex Theatre, programs of classic feature films, cartoons, newsreels and short subjects together with guest appearances by notable personalities. Their mission is to entertain and educate the audience while demonstrating to film owners that there is a market for classic films and the financial risks involved in film preservation are worthwhile.  The AFS goal is to present the best possible prints so patrons can enjoy films in the manner for which they were intended. At the same time the Society must pay the expenses associated with our programs and strengthen our ability to maintain and upgrade the film capabilities of the Alex.

Elyse Briggs, NCTMB, RYT is Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, a Licensed Massage Therapist and a certified and nationally registered teacher of both massage and yoga therapies with a private practice in Glendale, CA, She holds certificates in Medical Technology, Massage Therapy, Elyse received her teaching credentials in Thai Massage from teacher, Chongkol Setthakorn, while studying at the Institute of Thai Massage. Over a 5-year period, she studied with several other Masters of this great work in Chiang Mai, Thailand.  Elyse works in close association with M.D.’s, Chiropractors, Acupuncturists and Homeopaths and practices many bodywork modalities. Elyse is a faculty member of the Massage School of Santa Monica since 1996, The Hands On Healing Institute and the owner of Yoga At The Village in Glendale California.
